They had dim sum that was really good. Wish I would've taken pictures. The good was really good. I'm not sure why the lower ratings. The service was a little slow, so maybe that's it. But the food made up for that.

The food it typical Chinese food but for 30-40% more. I ordered chicken lo mein and crab wontons which came to almost $25. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. I won't be coming back when I can go to Wasabi for half the price and get better food.

This is a locally owned Chinese bistro on Daniel Island. The inside decor is impressive but curiously empty of evening diners, however they do a huge take-out business. The menu seems typical. The service was good. This is a good choice to satisfy your Chinese food cravings.

Dragon Palace is one of the lone sit down Chinese restaurants in the area that serves decent Chinese food. We have eaten here many times, and it serves the DI area well. We had dinner here on a Friday night, and was surprised on how empty it was at peak dinner time. But it was outnumbered by the number of to go customers who arrived. Clearly this makes up for in house diners. But come here for the experience.
The interior decor is very beautiful and shows off some great Chinese culture that is eye catching. With a small bar upon entry, they have a nice sized dining room. Locally owned, they offer hand made dim sum and authentic Chinese cuisine. We enjoyed the roast pork buns, seared chive dumpling and egg rolls to start. Then for dinner we had walnut shrimp and Szechuan chicken. Everything came out hot and made to order, and each dish delivered some great flavor. I liked the different veggies with the Szechuan chicken, and the heat was spot on. My husband always enjoys the walnut shrimp, with it's large shrimp and veggies too.
Service here is friendly, attentive, and we always leave very satisfied in both the food flavor and service.
Only advice to the restaurant would be to update the menus, as they appear to be rather old and used.
But come to Daniel Island to sit down and enjoy authentic Chinese food. -

I love this place. One if the few and only Chinese bistros. Not a buffet, nicer better quality. Decor is ready Chinese decor. A little pricy but so delicious!
